Africa Day: Who nailed it in artwork?

On Friday, Africans across the world united to celebrate Africa Day, an event that is marked to remember the formation of the Organisation of African Unity (now African Union), which was founded to among others promote unity and solidarity among African countries and Africans.

OAU was founded on May 25, 1963.

As has become the norm on big days, different companies in Uganda and around the world took advantage of the event to string together messages that would perfectly match the topic of the day in order to create conversations as they promote their brands.

For instance, on social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook, you will find companies with the best posters, messages, ads getting the most number of shares.

On the other hand, those whose messages are not appealing, off-topic or reeking of plagiarism — will get wide criticism.

Below, in no particular form of arrangement, we present some of the messages that were shared by different companies from Uganda.

Africell (telco)

Movit Products Limited (Comestics manufacturer)

Liquid Telecom (ISP)

Airtel (telco)

Airtel Uganda used a GIF, or Graphic Interchange Format to send their message.
