Run WhatsApp accounts on one phone

If you own a dual-sim smartphone, you most likely have two SIM cards which you use to contact your kith and kin by SMS and calls.

When it comes to WhatsApp, you might have found it challenging to use both phone numbers since you’ve to keep resetting your WhatsApp account every time you want a different sim displayed to the people you are communicating with.

After reading this article, you will learn that you can run two WhatsApp accounts on one phone without altering settings.

Though the option is also available for people using iPhones, this article focuses only on Android phones.

There are two ways you can run two WhatsApp accounts in one phone:

In the first option, phone manufacturers like Xiaomi, Honor, Oppo, and Vivo have started rolling out phones with applications that clone WhatsApp among the default apps that come within the phone.

Honor uses App Twin, Xiaomi uses Dual App, Vivo (App Clone) and Oppo (Clone App).

After installing WhatsApp on any of these phones, you’ll use the clone apps to activate the second WhatsApp account.

Run two WhatsApp accounts on one phone using third party apps

If you don’t have any of the above phone brands, there are some third-party apps you can use to run two WhatsApp accounts on one phone.

In this piece, we shall look at the Parallel space app, which this writer tested.

Parallel Space can be downloaded on the Google Play Store. The app doesn’t clone only WhatsApp. Even other apps.

So, after installing it, when you launch it, it will immediately take you to a Clone Apps page.

After this, you’ll be taken to the parallel space, where the app is run in a virtual install on your phone.

The next step will be to set up WhatsApp as usual. You can now use two WhatsApp accounts on one phone.

Crucial to note is that, though the app is free, it is ad-supported. You can only escape the ads if you subscribe for a fee.

For those who do not own dual sim phones and you want to clone WhatsApp using a number that is in your feature phone, it is also possible.

Just follow the above steps, and on the time of setting up your WhatsApp account, use the number in the feature phone to get a verification message.
