African startups that are creating technology solutions to solve problems in the education sector have been called to apply for the Global EdTech Startups Awards.
The Awards will see winners enroll for mentorship programs, get exposure and also win cash.
Applications for the 2019 edition of the Global EdTech Startups Awards are open until July 31.
Startups that will be shortlisted will then proceed for the semi-finals Cape Town, South Africa. This will be between August and November.
In other continents, semi-finals will be organized in Tel Aviv, Tokyo, Paris, Helsinki, Frankfurt, Boston, Los Angeles, Monterrey, Curitiba, Delhi, London, Milan, Madrid, and Moscow.

London will host the grand finale in January 2020.
Global EdTech Startups Awards (GESA) is an initiative led by a group of leading education innovation organizations from across the world.
To qualify, a startup will show its market pain point, provide an innovative pedagogical approach, have an outstanding user experience, show potential for tremendous growth in its user base, and operate in the context of a sustainable business model.
