Like the Xbox Series S and X that Microsoft launched last September, Huawei is thinking of launching gaming consoles and laptops. Yes, a report from Weibo indicates that the company may launch a new set of notebooks that will be specially produced for gaming. Additionally, they will also launch a new gaming console that will be functional as similar as Sony’s PlayStation and Microsoft’s Xbox.
We are yet to get the specifications of these but what we can tell is that a gaming PC will come in right ahead of the gaming consoles. This could most likely happen this year, which is much suitable for the company’s current notebook lineups and expand it further.
In the meantime, Huawei has not announced any console or such product launch at the moment. But it’s definitely a likelihood.
Last year, Honor launched its first gaming laptop, Honor Hunter, which comes with pretty heavy specifications as well as a gamer targeted design. We had expected Huawei to reveal its own gaming laptop too in 2020 but it didn’t happen.
At the beginning of 2021, Huawei introduced the MateBook X Pro, MateBook 13 and 14, powered by 11th gen intel processor for maximum performance and the PC version of AppGallery. Following this launch, Huawei has also planned to launch the AMD versions of the MateBook 2021 series but there’s no confirmation on that at the moment.
